a week agoLa Trompisa was a solid 7/10 experience for me. I wish my wife and I had ordered Tacos on Taco Tuesday to get their 10 tacos for $25 special. My wife and I ordered 7 tacos, 3 Pastor Rojo (red), 3 Pastor Negro (Black), and 1 Ribeye Taco. I also had a Mexican Glass Coke. They also gave us red and green salsa, and let me tell you, if you enjoy a slow burn spice that burns more as you eat it, have the GREEN SALSA! It was delicious! The Pastor Rojo tacos were good but not great - I feel like they were a little cinnamon forward and slightly sweeter than I like on my al pastor tacos. However, the black al pastor tacos completely shook me! They were absolutely on point! The meat was very good, paired with some pineapple slices, some onion, cilantro, and some of that green salsa made an incredible combo! The ribeye taco was really good, but for the price I expected a larger taco. At $6/ribeye taco, it’s worth a one and done. We will definitely be coming back for the taco Tuesday special, 10 tacos for $25 including salsas and drinks, all black al pastor tacos! If you’re in the area, give them a try!

3 weeks agoDONT EAT HERE, NOT WORTH THE PRICE. I don’t know what the hype was about. I had been wanting to try this place for months, and it was not worth it at all!! The tacos sudados were not sudados at all, they were dry and plain. The hot sauce had no spice or flavor. The ribeye trompo meat was dry and hard. The chilakillers looked like they just put a whole bunch of food together. Everything lacked flavor. We didn’t even finish our food because it was so plain.

a month agoMy husband and I heard about this place online and it did not disappoint. Amazing food, good portion sizes, and friendly service. We got the los desmadrosos chilaquiles and some pastor tacos. The meats were full of flavor and the chilaquiles were a big portion size. Definitely recommend!!

3 months agoRecently tried these and the flavor was not there. Meat was dry and the taste was not traditional. After taste was odd Great service and nice looking place Felt a bit overpriced for tacos in my opinion

3 months agoThe tacos of black trompo were ok but didnt really taste the meat the same as the red trompo. I had a burrito of red and a taco of black and I could definitely taste the red more. I like the pickled red onions as they gave the food a kick which reminds me of Cochinita Pibil. Over all it was filling and the taste was good. The price point was typical for now a days but atleast the portions weren't tiny. I would go again to sample other dished for sure.

4 months agoOMG. The meeting here are great! Must try the Los Desmadrosos freaking great. Well worth the 17.99 it will feed about 2 to 3 ppl. These Chilakillers are fabulous.

5 months agoGREAT experience with Vane, the cashier, she was very pleasant, asked me about my day, make sure she placed the order as I requested, and when I got home there was a note on the container “ Thank you and have a happy Thursday “ now THAT IS what I call great customer service, sometimes the wait can be long but is worth it 🎉 BEST TACOS IN NS 🌮🎉

5 months agoFirst time here , wait was long , and my order was wrong , I reached in to give my little one his food and it was not in the bag my order was 90$ and it was only 2 different things and still wrong. I called 4 times and no answer not only that but the salsa was opened in my bag mainly upset because my little one is feeling under the weather and only eats when he feels up to it right now and he actually reached for his food to find out it wasnt even in the bag Ill fix this review if my order is fixed
